Attention all grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 science, technology, biology, geography and maths educators
You are invited to attend this open forum to enhance your science teaching in a most applicable and practical way. An indication of what you may expect during a typical session is given below.

- guest speakers
- managing your school laboratory
- managing your learners' portfolios
- live demonstrations by participating teachers
- hands-on experiments to improve your skills and understanding of troublesome experiments
- open discussions on everyday problems encountered in the science class
- sharing of experiences and feedback from attending science educators
- spectacular demos by SAASTA's masters of the art
- computer literacy to enhance your classroom activities
- linking with tertiary institutions
- the importance of creating SET career awareness among your learners
And many more. The sessions cover a variety of topics, but each will be different. You may attend as many sessions as you are able to.
This open forum is aimed at senior grade teachers of science, technology, biology, geography and mathematics. Selected purveyors of science educational aides are also invited to demonstrate the latest equipment available in the market.

When: Last Saturday of the month (outside school holidays)
Cost: No cost involved. Light snacks will be served.

Future meeting dates:
It is planned to continue to have meetings on the last Saturday of every month, with the exception of those that fall in the school holidays. However, depending on the availability of teachers on the last saturday of November, due to examinations marking, the October Forum might be our last one for the year. |
